Real, traditional country music is the recipe when Jon Kolden w / band enters the stage.
After a long break, he made a comeback in the autumn of 2015 and has since played around the country. He has continued where he left off by, among other things, visiting some of the biggest country festivals in Norway.
In the summer of 2020, Jon released the duet "Golden Ring" with American Georgette Jones, but it does not end there. In the winter of 2021, Jon released the album "My Kind Of Country" with eleven self-written songs in addition to the duet with Georgette Jones.
Jon Kolden's music career began when in 1994 he participated in the Country Music Grand Prix which was organized by NCMO (Nordic Country Music Organization). He ended up here in a solid 2nd place with a self-produced song, in competition with established country artists from around the world. He still writes his own songs and today has well over 70 self-made songs.
Jon is strongly influenced by artists such as Johnny Cash, Vern Gosdin, Don Williams, George Strait and George Jones to name a few, so it is traditional country that is closest to the artist. The repertoire ranges from songs by well-known and beloved country artists to his self-written songs.
He has previously released the album "Forever Me And You", which received a lot of attention, not only in the Norwegian media, but also across the country's borders. Among other things, he was interviewed on Patty Loveless' official website as an "Up And Comming Artist", in addition to being played in prime time on country radio in the US with brilliant feedback.
